Inspired by Forest Fenn's treasure hidden in the Rockies and discovered in 2020, Justin Posey hid another treasure in the Western United States. The treasure, which contains millions in precious metals and Bitcoin, is in a location hinted at in Posey's poem and book. Here are some tools I've built in order to search for the treasure.
I created a customGPT to search the official treasure hunt sources, including the website and e-book. The chatbot is a valuable resource to organize and access information throughout the hunt, and includes csv's to track new clues and announcements.
In order to find Fenn's original treaure, Justin Posey, a computer scientist himself, used ML to build a facial anamoly detector and analyze Fenn's interviews. I am building a similar tool to run on Posey himself, using OpenCV, DeepFace, and cluster analysis to find clues in the documentary.
